You register, we send you a shirt, you complete the 3 lifts on your own or with a group of attractive women at your gym (or Box if you’re so inclined) and enter your score on-line. Your score is the total of all 3 lifts in pounds. Squat Weight + Shoulder to Overhead Weight + Barbell Complex Weight = Score.

Conner's Super WOD

Conner's SUPER W.O.D. is a fundraiser to help  a special little super hero named Conner James and his family with any medical expenses they may have incurred to help Conner get back to full health!!!!

Conner James is 1 years old and is the youngest of 5 children. He is a happy little boy that loves to smile and laugh. Conner had been having fevers on and off again for some time and the doctors had thought it was viral since he had no other symptoms. After weeks of on again off again fevers and becoming very lethargic his parents decided to bypass the pediatrician and go straight to the emergency room. There they took a chest x-ray and it appeared to be Pneumonia and he was admitted to Good Samaritan Hospital. After 6 days on antibiotics and no change in his condition they did a cat scan. The cat scan showed a tumor in his chest with fluid around his heart. He was then transferred to Winthrop Hospital. At Winthrop Hospital he received two Bone Marrow biopsies and nothing came back conclusive. He then underwent a surgical biopsy on the actual tumor. As a result of the biopsy Conner was then diagnosed with a rare form of Acute Myeloid Leukemia called Myeloid Sarcoma. Conner has completed one round of chemotherapy and is currently getting his second round of chemotherapy at this time. He will continue to undergo more chemotherapy and other testing to explore all options until Conner is once again healthy!!

Crossfit Cobalt is hosting the 2nd Annual "Crossfit for Food" food drive to help feed struggling Long Island families. On Saturday, May 30th we will join 5 other boxes to hold a 2 person co-ed team competition at Belmont Lake State Park. 

onation bags will be provided soon. Along with your $5 per person donation fee, we ask that you bring a bag of non-perishable food with you to compete. (See flyer below)

There will be a Kid's Event at 1:30! Bring your family and let the kids join in on the fun! BBQ to follow.

Start your day in Manhattan, Babylon, or Mastic Shirley and pick the distance that’s right for you -- 30 miles, 73 miles, 108 miles, or 150 miles.

Home to the New York Mets, this stadium offers easy access by public transit. It will play host to thousands of Spartans for a premier addition to the Stadium Series Spartan Sprint. 

Prepare for 3+ miles and over 15 obstacles located all throughout the open-air park. Die-hard baseball fans will have trouble not stopping to stare as they run through the bleachers and outfield, traversing walls, and experiencing the ballpark like never before!

The sound system will be pumping while the big video boards show live shots from the event so wear your Spartan swag and prepare to break some personal records.

OK, so we dropped the ball on week one...but starting this week for 15.2, we will be having an in-house league-match-style event! You do not have to be signed up for The Open to participate, but if you are signed up we will have the judges ready. 

Friday's Daily WOD will be 15.2, but evening classes will be run as heats. What?...So that means we will have a regular morning classes, and starting at 5 we will have heats starting every 1/2 hour or so. The last heat will be at 8PM, so come when you are free and put your name on the board.

Invite your friends and family to come watch you compete! Stay and judge/cheer on other members!

**Remember: If you can not make the Friday Night Event, you can still complete the work out at any time during the day Friday at regular class times, or during Sat or Sun open gym times.

Coed Teams of 4 battle three remarkable Flex WODs at the 69th Regiment Armory in Manhattan.

Saturday, 14 February at 8 AM.

180 Coed teams of 4 (2 men and 2 women) compete indoors in the heart of the city at the 69th Regiment Armory. Rx and Scaled Divisions available. T-Shirts for the men and Tanks for the Ladies.



The Judges

All Flex events use what we call “athlete judging”. Athletes competing in the event judge each other to ensure standards are consistently met throughout the day. Feedback from our 2013 event was outstanding with many athletes saying they were better judged, more engaged and had more fun than at any other functional fitness event.

The Venue

We spared no expense and will be indoors with heat, bathrooms and plenty of space at the 69th Regiment Armory.

League Match is back for 2015! This time we're expanding with 3 boxes going head-to-head-to-head. Come down and join us with CF Invasion and CF Sanctuary on Friday the 30th to compete in this low pressure, high fun, all-inclusive, one night competition!

All skill levels are welcome. We will have heats divided into Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced sections. Everything is scalable for every athlete. Stay after your heat and have a beer or two while you cheer on your fellow athletes! WOD will be revealed at 8PM the night of the match.

WOD I: "Hanging with Mama"

In a team of 4 complete as many reps as possible in 20 minutes of:

Team of two performs splitting reps however they see fit:
6 burpee box overs (20 inches)
6 Hang power cleans (55).
Then they tag in the next group of two.

Team of two performs splitting reps however they see fit:
9 burpee box overs (20 inches)
9 Hang power cleans (55).
Then they tag in the next group of two.

Team of two performs splitting reps however they see fit:
12 burpee box overs (20 inches)
12 Hang power cleans (55).
Then they tag in the next group of two.

15 burpee box overs (20 inches)

WOD 2: "Tabata yo Mama"

You will perform 6 interval rounds at each station tabata style. There will be a20sec workload period immediately followed by a 10 sec rest period. There will also be a 30 sec rest period in between stations. The following are the stations:

WOD 3: "Mama said knock you out"

8min Max effort Shoulder to Overhead

A team of 4 will be assigned 2 racks that you will use. You will decided 2 separate weights that your team will perform shoulder to overheads with. One person may only work at a time. Each weight has a designated amount of points that each rep will give you. The following are the weights you can choose:

45 lbs = 1pt
55 lbs = 2pts
65 lbs = 3 pts
75 lbs = 4pts
